What struck us immediately about a Lakeland home is the quality finish the homes have and the quality materials used for the price.

We started the search for our home builder by looking around at different styles of homes and then gradually going to open houses and comparing between the different companies. There are so many companies offering different products, it can be over whelming trying to decide what is best for you. What struck us immediately about a Lakeland home is the quality finish the homes have and the quality materials used for the price. The unique and attractive design of their homes combined with the expert finish and attention to detail was what instantly brought Lakeland Homes to the top of the list for us. We were looking for that home that suited our design tastes but also had the “WOW” factor when you walked in.

In the beginning we visited the open houses and met with Andre on numerous occasions. During those visits we discussed design elements that were important to us and how we might incorporate them into one of their existing designs and I can’t stress enough how easy and flexible this process was, they truly are a custom home builder.

Andre was more than accommodating with each request we made, detailing out how they would go about making the change and what that cost would be. Once we decided on a direction we moved forward into an agreement and began the build process of our home. Now at this point all of the horror stories you hear from other people who have built homes starts to creep into your mind…Did I make the right choice? Are we going to regret going with this company? Are we going to experience the same issues? There are a million questions you begin to ask yourself. At this stage I can honestly say I was optimistic but still proceeding with caution, well it didn’t take long for my cautious optimism to be replaced with a feeling of comfort and trust. From the very onset of the build process when we transitioned from dealing with Andre to working with Mike and his team (Nate and Mike O.) we felt involved, informed and appreciated as customers every step of the way. Every stage from design, build, walkthrough, selections, through to buyoff we were encouraged to visit, consulted with and welcomed. The whole process was so organized and smooth (even when working through any issues) that you really can just sit back and trust that all will work out according to plan.

Whenever we went to visit the build every single contractor engaged us in conversation and was more than happy to discuss what they were doing to the house; I had conversations with everyone from the foundation team, framers, roofers, flooring team etc., you feel like an active part of the process. Similarly when we met with the suppliers to make our selections they were friendly, accommodating and willing to help out Lakeland customers in any way they could. In fact to take that point a step further all suppliers and trades people had nothing but rave reviews for Lakeland Homes as a great company to deal with, so as a customer when you are hearing that from the people that work with your builder on a full time basis it gives you a lot of confidence that you have made the right choice. As our build came to completion (ahead of schedule I might add!) we started to see all of the planning and work come to fruition. At this point it becomes easy to just finish up and move on and maybe forget about the little details, move on to another build….well not when working with this team! They were as involved as ever in identifying and working on any little item that did not meet the Lakeland “standard” for quality and finish. When the time finally came to have our final walk through and sign off on our home we were excited but also proud, proud of the beautiful home that they had created for us but also proud of the decision we made to build with such a quality home building team; Lakeland Homes.

Our entire experience had the “WOW” factor in so many ways. Thank-you guys for building our family not only a new house but something we are very proud to call our HOME.

Customers for life,

Aaron and Dana
