My wife and I have built four new homes throughout our lifetime and have always enjoyed the experience.

There is just something about building a new home. There is a lot of stress and unexpected problems in the process but you seem to be able to get through them with time. We did enjoy it but some people don’t. There are a lot of horror stories out there about building your own home. People do it to save money but in the end it cost them more.

Then you wonder if all your decisions were correct and if all building and safety standards were met? Of course you wonder what the finished product will look like. These questions and many more go through your mind on a daily basis when you build your own home. Then every little added expense that you expectantly run into is added to your bill.

When we first seen Lakeland Homes build sites we were always impressed with the curb appeal of their models. They were beautiful outside and stunningly beautiful inside. The inside of a Lakeland home speaks of elegance and quality. Interior design with stunning appointments make for an amazing home. . You have a sense of security and confidence with Lakeland because you know that you are getting a quality home that is designed and built right.

When we decided to buy a Lakeland Home we found the best part of our experience was dealing with the Lakeland team. Their staff were all professional and a joy to deal with. It was like you became a part of their family. They gave us their undivided attention and made sure that they understood our questions and concerns. We felt safe and confident that Lakeland Homes was on our side and that we made the right choice when we chose Lakeland Homes. Any minor repairs were quickly seen to and fixed properly. I can safely recommend them as a quality and competent builder that has been a pleasure to deal with.

After carefully considering a number of options we settled on a Lakeland home from Mike Mcmahon and his team for our lot in LaSalle. Right from my family’s first contact, Mike was either available or making sure that someone on his team was there for us to answer all our questions. We used a custom home design that Lakeland accommodated no problem; even adding a number of excellent suggestions and tips along the way. They also easily incorporated our special requests, like additional soundproofing, an outdoor gas fireplace, and finished basement. Mike and his team approached everything with a very can-do attitude; we always felt like they were trying to do what we wanted – not what was easiest or what they wanted. I have nothing but good things to say about our first home building experience – honesty, quality work, and great value! I wouldn’t (and don’t) hesitate to recommend Lakeland Homes to others any time I’m asked.
